Fairly nice bar located in the Houhai district of Beijing. The Houhai district is a stretch of westernized bars set along a small promenade by the lake front. A trip to Houhai grants you beautiful night-time views of the lake and swarming hawkers who ask you if you want to go to a "lady bar" every fifteen steps.

Despite the cheesy name and garish neon sign, Sex in Da City is a fairly nice establishment. The 2-story interior is classy, clean and modern and the outdoor seating is typical of the bars around this area. The drink prices are expensive by Beijing standards, but also about the same you'd get at any other bar in the area.

Houhai was my almost every night activity during my stay in Beijing last year!
the best places are the small bars in the old streets area and not on the shore of the lake

Eric says: Small Korean bar on the third floor of a shopping mall complex. The patrons here were mainly Korean, but it was a really fun and friendly vibe. It's also not so chaotic, loud, or crowded that you can actually sit down with a group of friends and have a decent conversation while sipping on Soju.
