Great fun with Llamas! Aug 05, 2016
For some reason my sister saw this online and wanted to do it as part of her hen weekend. And I'm so glad we did! We were staying in Bristol and the farm is approximately an hours drive.

When we arrived we were greeted by Alistair and Moira who run the farm. What lovely people! We could have spent all day just talking to them. They took us into the barn where we met four llamas (Scooby, Casanova, Dolly and Amy)and two donkeys (Liam and Alice) that we would be trekking with. The animals were clearly well looked after and Alistair and Moira told us a bit about each ones character.

The llamas had leads put on as did one of the donkeys and we lead them out to the road. The other donkey pulled a small carriage for two people. We then took them on a lovely walk along pretty country roads, through a charming village and then through part of a beautiful forest. We walked for 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it flew by! Moira and one of their assistants came with us and were friendly and chatty. The animals were very well behaved and great to spend time with.

When we arrived back at the farm, a lovely picnic lunch had been prepared for us. Hot bread rolls, cold meats, homemade quiche and homegrown vegetable crudities.

This was definitely a great experience and one I'll never forget!
