Fun Pizza Making Classes Dec 26, 2013
The food here is terrific, as is the case with most Tom Douglas (Seattle restaurant pioneer) restaurants. Very well made wood-fired pizza with a good wine selection. Not overdone to the point of being too pricey, but you get a great meal for how much you pay. The 5th Ave location has a great atmosphere - I can't speak for South Lake Union, but I'm sure it's similar.

They also offer great pizza making classes. In the class, you learn how they make their dough and other ingredients, and then get to make and cook your own pizza creation. I attended one a while ago and would highly recommend doing it with friends. If you've ever wanted to toss a hand-made pizza like the pros, this is a great chance! Comes with a glass of wine to go with your pizza!

Serious Pie - Quality Pizza Mar 21, 2012
Tom Douglas is a local celebrity chef. He owns many restaurants, this is a small chain of four or so. Everything's made out of quality local ingredients in a wood-burning oven. My wife and I love the yukon potato pizza although if morel mushrooms are in season you should try that one. The truffle cheese is great as well. You can get a basic sausage and onion, but if you're going to Serious Pie I would recommend getting something a bit more adventurous.

If you're going at a popular hour, make sure to plan some time. I've waited an hour, but plan 20 minutes. They'll serve you drinks while you wait.
