Sergiana Sibiu Reviews
Delicious Romanian food Nov 21, 2012
This restaurant used to be a part of a restaurant chain known as Sergiana Group, but recently that name disappeared from the restaurant's entrance.
The restaurant is located in the basement of a hotel. The entrance door of a restaurant is in the historic centre of Sibiu, opposite Turnul Sfatului (Council Tower).
The restaurant is designed to reflect Romanian wooden style and serves traditional Romanian cuisine influenced by the Transylvanian, Romanian, Saxon and Hungarian ones. A combination of old and new culinary styles provides visitors with a distinct choice of “courtyard” meals against more savage, 'forest', ones.
The restaurant doesn't provide menu in English so it is good to either have a dictionary with you or a couple of Romanian friends :)
The place just spoil for choice of dishes. It took us the time to finish our starter, crunchy bacon squares with crusty bread, before we decided on the mains. I ordered fried fish with mash and traditional cooked veg salad which was freshly cooked and just mouthwatering.
We had great time dinning in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to pay the total of £15 for 3 drinks, a starter and 3 main dishes and a desert to go.
This amazing place requires a visit from anyone who enjoys fine dinning and wants to experience true taste of Romanian food.
