Costly, short and waste of time May 11, 2010
When I had booked my holiday to Seoul, I had also booked to tours during my stay. One was a tour to the DMZ and one was a morning tour of the city.
What a waste of time, costly and short!!!! Depending on the day you visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace (unless it's closed, then you visit the Deoksugung Palace), the Namdaemun Market and an Amethyst (a type of gem) showroom. At the market and the showroom, the guide takes you there to spend money on ginseng (market) or the jewelry (showroom). Of course you're offered a discount. And all is done in about 2 hours!!!
My advice is to explore the city on your own and don't book such a tour!! A sightseeing tour isn't to look at the inside of shops!!!
