Senlac Guesthouse

This bed and breakfast was in the heart of Hastings city and a very easy walk from the bus stop or the train station.

The owner was happy to have us leave our bags in the house as long as we paid for the room we booked for when we returned after a weekend in Canterbury.

When we came back the place seemed to be filled with men who were contracted to build in the surrounding streets. This meant the room we had, beside the bathroom at the top of the house, was noisey as the men completed their ablusions before and after work.

The room overlooked the street and was warm and compfortable. It had a double bed and a single bed and the whole establishment seemed to be quite new and tastefully decorated by the young couple that owned it.

All the fittings were modern and in good working order.

The dining room was full of the workmen we had heard but not seen. The full english breakfast was also the type these guys would need to prepare them for the day ahead.

All in all this was a reasonable B&B for a good price.
