Dakar is a vibrant city with great food and friendly people.  I took the ferry to the touristy Ile de Goree, an island formally used for the slave trade.  There is a fort on the island, but it was closed the day I visited and I had seen enough in Ghana and Benin.

I was in Dakar and Kaolack.Everywhere you can read that Kaolack is a hot dirty city but i swear i love it.Its a paradise and my favorite City in Senegal.....its very hot ,but dry air.not many tourism,good food in the restaurantes and everywhere friendly people................................
