museum is free but you are encouraged to buy ceramics Nov 21, 2008
This ceramics store/workshop opens into a little garden area with parrots and a monkey in cages. We watched a little video in English about the pottery and then looked at the little museum containing various items they had made and some historical pieces.

There were three or four rooms filled with ceramic items to buy – bowls, plates, mugs, wall decorations and other things. It was neat, but heavy and breakable. I think you could package and ship stuff home, but it was really expensive to do so. It was a neat little place but definitely geared more towards selling the ceramics than viewing them (it was a gallery – meaning you are supposed to buy the artwork). You can watch them making the pottery as long as you don’t come right at closing, as we did.

This is a neat place for people who like art and pottery, but generally not someplace you would come to buy your souvenirs. The owner speaks excellent English and even studied for a time in the States.
