Seligman Travel and Tourism Guide

Seligman is located in Yavapai County, Northern Arizona. The town's claim to fame is closely tied to Route 66: the longest remaining stretch of the original Route 66 runs through Seligman.

Long-time Seligman resident and former town barber, Angel Delgadillo, helped found the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona, the first such organisation dedicated to the preservation of what remained of Route 66. As such, Seligman proudly proclaims itself to be the birthplace of Historic Route 66.

Much of Seligman's main street exists for tourists. The store fronts and gas stations hark back to Route 66's glory days, selling all manner of Route 66 souvenirs and memorabilia. There is a visitors information centre as well as accommodation and dining options for those visitors who decide to stop over for a night.
