For our 2008 summer trip, we chose an 8-day cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas, and the British Virgin Islands. Susan and I selected this cruise in great part because it sailed from New York City. We'd be able to experience sailing out of New York Harbor and past the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty.

Woke up at 5am, had a shower and had left Ian’s by 5.40. It
was sooo foggy over the Pennines; eerily it cleared up instantly as we reached
the other side of the Pennines to reveal a beautiful morning in Manchester. The roads
were clear and we reached terminal 3 without a hitch.
Problems began when I stepped foot inside Terminal 3. I was
flying out with American Airlines, during the checking in process I was grilled
