Seattle / Tacoma KOA

When we called the listed number for this campground, out of the KOA directory, we reached the main call center in South Dakota, rather than the campground itself. We were told that there were no more tent sites available, and if we wanted to reserve, we would have to pay extra for an RV site with water and electricity, neither which was of any use to us. We were unaware of any other campgrounds near here, (We were on our way to Mt Rainier) So we went ahead and booked it. When we arrived, we found the site we reserved was paved (no way to pitch a tent) and sandwiched between two large RV's. Furthermore, there were PLENTY of tent sites!! Only ONE other tent camper was even there. The call center was apparently confused, because there were no "numbered" sites, per se, but an unmarked tenting "area" that had plenty of room. We moved over there (right next to the highway!) and got up early and got the heck out of there. They had some amenities (heated pool, etc.) but we didn't use them. I never spoke with, or even saw, an employee of the campground. (we arrived after hours, and left right around when they opened) Overall, not impressed with our experience there.
