Unusual design library Jun 22, 2010
The Seattle Public Library is a stunning 11-story glass and steel building in downtown Seattle. The angular glass walls really stand out among the boxy buildings surrounding it. The library offers maps for touring the different floors. There is a huge children's section with playful sculptures on the walls. There are several floors with computer stations and a cafe. You can take the elevator up to the top floor to have a great view out over the city. Most of the book shelves are arranged on sloping floors, best to start at the top of the library and work your way down.
