Seaside Hotel Hilo
Seaside Hotel Hilo Reviews

The Hilo Seaside is owned by the same family who owns Maui and Kona Seaside Hotels. They are very similar in room size and features but they are laid out differently. The Hilo Seaside is much larger than Maui Seaside and has many gardens located throughout the hotel. It doesn't have any beach access so if that is what you are looking or then you should look elsewhere. There are two main problems with this hotel, in my opinion. One- the airport is adjacent to the rooms so you will hear airplanes taking off and landing but not at all hours of the night, mostly during the day. Two- there is an alternative church that loves to rock out on Wednesday and the weekends. If you are in the back, then you will be able to feel like you are right in the sermon. I advise you to request on room in the front to avoid the rockin gospel music, unless you don't mind. :)
The people were super friendly and the rooms were super clean. DON'T EAT AT THE RESTAURANT - The Coconut Grill. It is expensive and not worth it. Go elsewhere. Part of the Christmas Island-Hopping Vacation travel blog |
