Seascope Semi-Submarine - Hurghada - TravBuddy

You are not a diver? You want to experience the underwater world of the Red Sea? This is the trip of your choice. In my opinion.

The semi-submarine offers an upper and a lower deck. During cruising time you sit on the upper deck. As soon as the vessel has reached the coral reef you go downstairs. In the air-conditioned observation deck you sit 1,8 meters underwater in front of a big glass window (1 m x 1.25 m wide) on a swiveling seat. There are two seats per window and 34 seats altogether. Quite comfortable. And it leaves you enough space even for a huge camera bag. Or a child in front of your feet.

The whole trip lasts for 90 minutes. Underwater time is about one hour. More than enough to gaze at the different fishes - and we saw a lot of them! We loved it, our children loved it.
It is possible to take pictures through the windows. Since the use of a flashlight does not make any sense (because of the reflection) expect very blue tinted results.

It was a very rewarding trip! We booked it directly at our hotel but you can easily book via phone or email, too.

Pro: panoramic windows, lots of space, long time underwater
Contra: the upper deck offers no sun protection

Please note: Booking at a local agent is cheaper than doing it via your travel agency. In our case we paid 30 Euro per adult (children: free). The local agent of our German travel agency offerred the same trip for 40 Euro.
