Seal & Penguin Islands

On the weekend I took a group of women on a day trip kayaking to Seal & Penguin Islands just off Shoalwater Bay, near Perth Western Australia.

Rivergods were the company we used and I must say they were great operators who were laid back whilst being able to provide us with information relative to the environment and wildlife around us.

After Kayaking across to Seal Island we had several sea lions playing around our kayaks and dolphins right up close duck diving in the water right beside us. The snorkelling was nothing special, but I suppose I've been spoilt....at least there were fish, but no colourful ones though! We saw fairy penguins sheltering from the hot sun and then went to see a group of them at "feed time" which was so cute.

The rest of the day we spent at our own leisure - relaxing in the sun, snorkelling and exploring Penguin Island where you can see plenty of friendly wildlife!
