Welll I'm glad to say after braving a hurricane all day yesterday and hitchhiking in 90mph winds I'm at the sea-tac airport waiting to board my flight to chicago then to Dublin.It was a very interesting day but I made it safe and sound, there's a lot of damage all over and the Sate of Washington has been declared a  state of emergency by the Governor of Washington, 80,000 people are without power including where I hitchhiked in from, I finally got a ride by a nice guy who took me as far ...

Last day of my trip.  Erik's mom calls me around 9:30 and asks to meet Erik and I for breakfast.  Sounds good to me.  We get ready and meet them at the Denny's in front of the hotel.  This time is was just me, Erik, Joan and her manfriend.  Ah, no getting around talking to her!  But it wasn't bad at all.  In fact, I have a feeling she really likes me ;-)  She really did.We have a nice talk over breakfast, gave her the run down of our NYE and told her ab...

We began our trip a little behind schedule and had to bump to the next connecting flight to SFO, but we had over 5 hours to burn anyway.  The flights were all on time and easy, although we only slept a few winks on the 9 hour flight to LHR.The rental car is a bit large, we wanted a car but they gave us an SUV type vehicle.  We call it the Lorry.After several wrong turns caused by me (the navigator) I noticed that my laptop was running low.  The power plug wasn't working, and my...
