Sea Express Ferry Reviews
Around Bermuda by Sea Express Ferry Sep 08, 2010
Bermuda's Sea Express Ferry service is a quick and convenient way to get from one part of the islands to another. The ferry fleet is modern and fast. The Dockyard to Hamilton is about a 20 minute trip and the Dockyard to St. George about 45 minutes. If you have arrived at the Dockyard by cruise ship, the ferry is the best way to travel to Hamilton or St. George.
The major ferry terminals for visitors are at Hamilton, St. George, and the Dockyard cruise terminal. But, the are many other routes around the Great Sound as the ferry system is used by locals for commuting. Ferries operate at 30 to 60 minute intervals. See the route schedule on the web site.
Single fares range from $2.50 to $4.00 depending on distance. But, a one to seven day pass is a much better option. (Passes are also valid on the bus system.) Buy tickets or passes in advance. Cash is not accepted on the ferries as it is on buses.
