You just missed one that was along the shores of Bondi. It's called Sculptures by the Sea. Every yeah people flock to it to see the sculptures and it gives relatively unknown artists exposure. Last years winner (who did the melting ice cream truck) is now getting some international recognition because of this one event. It was a nice piece though.

I didn't catch it this year, as I didn't have time. :(

Yeah it should be good. It's actually expanded to Denmark now. First time next year. But yeah I'll try to make it this year. :)

hey there LAURA ,hmmm iam up on the Goldy ( Gold coast) we have some beautiful beaches, great night life, the tropical mountains to the west, Beautiful Byron Bay 45 mins South Is heaven on a stick, 2 hours north is the Sunshine Coast, dont worry about Brisbane on the way, no offence Brisbanites (horrible city)The Sunny is lovely ,relaxing, and home to The late gr8 Steve Erwins Australia Zoo, all the mountains to the west have lovely little towns to drop into, then 2 hours North, the magical Fraser Island, and wonderful Hervey Bay, great area during Aug, Sept, Oct for whale watching, and if your lucky the weather should be nice and mild ,which it normally is this time of the year. Then further up the coast Airlie beach and the famous Whitsunday Coast Islands sensational, and you cant beat Cairns what a great little city, gr8 night life , gr8 diving , beautiful scenic drives , rainforests, with more to see 3hours north Cape Tribulation , croc country,a great place during the Aussie winter. I believe the pick south of Qld, is Sydney lovely ,i guess with all the great beaches around her and being built on such a beautiful harbour it really has made it a great city, west is a little dodgy so stick to the east and northern beaches. Melbourne is home to the greatest game in Australia, Aussie rules AFL, and has a lot more culture than Sydney, fashion wise, restaurant wise and bar wise, Tassie is a great little Island very relaxing and down to earth , i was born in Launceston, a lot of history down here in the ole map of Tas, i hope this has been some help tp ypu , just yell, out if you need some more advice ,, kind regards CJ

At Bondi was the Sculpture by the Sea event.  There are about 60 or so sculptures along a walk along the edge of the sea.  The art was...art.  Not my cup of tea, but interesting all the same.  As we crested a hill the wind… Manley and Bondi Beaches

There is an outdoor exhibit called Sculpture by the Sea. From Bondi it is about a 5km walk to Bronte Beach . There are an endless number of accessible beaches here in Sydney and I am beginning to learn the characters of them. Some are ocean beaches and others are harbour beaches… Now a Sydneysider
