Phoenix Divers, Koh Tao Sep 19, 2013
Phoenix Divers is a medium size dive shop with a small scale feel. They were very accommodating to my schedule and very knowledgeable for all the locations we dove at.

They are located just down the street from the mega dive factory Bans Divers near a couple of restaurants and hotels/hostel that offer discounts for diving with Phoenix. Only 5% if I remember, but every little bit helps!

Phoenix also offers a very good Dive Master Program which, If I remember correctly, offers no cost free dives for life if you come back to the dive shop.

Highly recommended!

Scuba Koh Tao - Coral Grand Dec 03, 2008
Turned up to Koh Tao after a misearalbe few days in Koh phang nang. I was meeting up with friend of mine(Phil) who at the time was a dive master for Coral Garand a diving resort in Koh Tao.

When I got there the first thing I did was book the open water course(this means that you get a PADI licence to dive by yourself) I thought it was a bit pricey at around €200 but after I checked prices in Ireland and Australia I realised I was getting a bargin. So the first day went grand we were in the classroom and in the pool for most of the day...Oh and we had to seim 200m in the morning...and believe me its tougher than you think.

The next 3 days were followed with some classroom work and then 3/4 four dives I can't remember...the corals were beautiful the deepest we went was 25 meters. underwater we performed all types of manuveres to simulate being in trouble when your under the water...everything went well...even tho I was very apprehensive.

Our Dive Master Jonas was an absolute hero as were most of the the staff at this reort. I would receommend it to anyone who is in Koh Tao for Scuba.

Oh and on my course I had a German rock band called revolverheld....there not big in Ireland but wuite big in Germany...they were cool guys.

Congrats on the feature. Koh Tao was where I got my PADI too! Buddha View. I did NOT want to leave that island, it was awesome.
