The Red Sea has some very beautiful, crystal clear water and is brimming with underwater life. While this reviewer hears that the water is just as beautiful (and probably a little less expensive) on the Egyptian side, I had the opportunity to scuba dive in the Red Sea in Aqaba. A friend in Jordan recommended the Jordan Frogman company. Mansour of Jordan Frogman is a master diver, and has more certifications than I could count. He has many programs available, but since I am not certified, he took me down on a "beginner" dive. This dive, at about 8 meters, is everything a normal dive would be, except with instruction and a master diver with you at all times. The dive starts with an introduction to diving, and goes over how all the equipment works. The master then leads you around the area, allowing you to see fish, jellyfish, coral, etc. It's a breathtaking experience that will leave you wanting more. The beginner dive was about 1 hour and cost 35 JD.
