Scottish Inn-Maggie Valley, NC Rustic Accomodations in Touristville Mar 02, 2008
We stayed at the Scottish Inn in Maggie Valley while visiting family for Christmas 1999. The rooms were fine but rustic. The nice creek behind the place made for a good photo with the snow.
We were a little disappointed that continental breakfast means "a dayold box of doughnuts in the lobby and a pot of coffee" but it was Christmas Day in a small town so what should we expect. Scottish Inn is fine if you like rustic. I'd like to try the Days Inn up the street next time I have to drop in on the relatives. I remember Scottish Inn had a good heater that was HOT which was perfect for my bout with the flu that week I caught from the nieces and nephew. |
