Quirky yet educational museum Apr 26, 2015
At 6 Euros, this quirky museum which actually got itself into the Guiness Book of Records is worth a morning or afternoon visit, combined with lunch at the in-house restaurant serving authentic German cuisine, or a beer in the welcoming beer garden. What better place to set up a museum about these cute, smelly creatures than in Germany, the land of everything porky.

It's a curious mixture of soft toys, piggy banks, pig art and the pig's role in human history, which speaks of some rather surprising facts.

The museum is located in a former slaughterhouse, but I would never have guessed. Once you step into the museum, the exhibits will engulf your interest and keep you well entertained.
