Schloss Benrath (Benrath Castle) May 13, 2011
Schloss benrath is a rococco period castle built between 1755-1773 under the supervision of nicolas de pigage for count charles theodore, elector of bavaria.

the castle hast 2 wings and two gates between its corps de logis and a moat surrounding the front of the castle.

at the back, it has a horizontal narrow lake that freezes easily in winter and everyone can go ice skating if its hard enough and beside that, the castle has a very large extensive garden with a chapel and an orangerie.

beside the castle is a café where you can sit and relax aftrer visiting the castle grounds and do the european way of having tea or coffee and cakes after walking.

i recommend seeing this small castle if you are in düsseldorf, it is located in the borough of benrath - south of the city centet but it can be reachable by the sbahn, tram, subway and bus.
