Schiedam Vacation Guide
Schiedam is a city in South Holland, near to the outskirts of Rotterdam. The museums, galleries, workshops and specialty shops are definitely worth a visit. I would also recommend a tour on the 'Fluisterboot' to appreciate the sights from the water.
Schiedam is also home to one of the largest parks - The Princess Beatrix Park offering a variety of activities, including the childrens animal farm (though not just for the young, I spent an hour here!) a childrens playground, pancake house and various tranquil spots and nature walks.
This city is probably most famous for the production of genever and the shipping industry in it's hey day and a city tour would be recommended to discover the many windmills, harbours, mills and distilleries.
