My sister is going to make dinner this night for her party and lives a few minutes from Scheveningen. So we always go there to walk and eat. Today was a warm day, no wind, lots of sun, a perfect day! :D

As promised to another TravBuddy, here's a photoblog of some Dutch beaches. Because I only recently bought a digital camera, and it is autumn in The Netherlands, the photos are not as sunny as I would like. Since I'm not much of a 'photoshopper', I show you the truth. The photos are made in 'Scheveningen', 'Kijkduin' and 'Noordwijk'. Enjoy!

Scheveningen was one of my favorite places on the Netherlands, so it was the first place I wanted to show Doug when he got here.  Off we went, and arrived on the tram with no problems, to find thick frost on the sand.  It was gorgeous.  There was a horse training, several dogs, and almost nobody else.  All the chip shops were closed.  These are the pictures!

This blog contains photos of the day of my sister's wedding. And what a beautiful day it was. Sorry girls, you will not find photos of the wedding here...My sister says, that's too private to show to the world.

This is the year that everything is gonna be different. That were the first words I spoke in 2008. I'm gonna do more and I want to see more of my own country. I read a question from somebody in the forum: If you want to see more of the world, shouldn't you start at you own country? That is what I want to do this year :-)

Scheveningen  is part of Den Haag, just 30 minutes by tram.  It is a modern seaside resort with a long sandy beach, an esplanade, a pier, and a lighthouse.  The harbor is used both for fishing and tourism. Scheveningen was a perfect place to go, with the beautiful dunes. We walked along the beach cooled our feet in the Atlantic, and enjoyed the buzzing life at the harbour.                &n...

Every trip to the Netherlands is an utter delight... but this time... i chose to stay on the beach in Scheveningen just out of The Hague. I also made a trip up to the picturesque northern towns and had lunch in Volendam. The weather was fantastic, the food great as always and the people.... well I just love Dutch people.... what a brilliant country...

Exciting traveling around NL with car and tent! There are so much more things beyond too touristic Amsterdam and regular travelers spots to discover in there. I loved it! (ahh..still need to edit and add photos)

Summary of my travels since starting to travel for work in 2004. Three continents and three jobs later, this blog is an ongoing work in process. All locations are entered through present, will be adding descriptions and pictures as I have the opportunity.
