Schaukelstühlchen is an old german word for rocking chair and is one of a famous bar in düsseldorf, where students from the university and professors and alternative people go. it's an average area western styled bar. they serve coffee, tea, juice and colas. they also have hard and cocktail drinks to boot.

the ambiance is ok, but its difficult to understand each other if you prefer to have conversations. pop music plays in the background and once in a while some rock and alternative songs, its mostly full in summer, because you can sit outside and people watch. it is not hard to find for it is located in the middle of the old town in düsseldorf along with lots of pubs, fastfoods and restaurants.
