Nice Cafes, Shops and Bars in der Schanze May 22, 2012
The Schanzenviertel is a district of Hamburg. It's famous for its little cafes, nice shops and alternative bars. In general the Schanzenviertel or as locals say "Schanze" is probably the place for all hipsters in Hamburg. It was a district where mostly students, artists and other alternative people where living but because of the hype about the district the prices are rising and more and more people with a higher income are moving into this area.

But nevertheless its a nice district to explore, the best thing is you start at the Ubahn Sternschanze and go from there to the left down the Schanzenstra├če. There you will find alot of small crossing streets on the right side wich will bring you to the "Schulterblatt" wich is a nice street located at the "Rote Flora" with lots of bars, cafes and even clubs arround it.
