Scandic Hotel Copenhagen

The best part about the Scandic, by far, is the location. Blocks from the central train station, the city center, and Tivoli, it is perfect for someone who doesn't want to brave the Copenhagen traffic, and instead walk like the majority of the locals. There always seemed to be taxi's out front if you wanted to venture somewhere further out.

There is a decent breakfast with a variety of food, which was okay as I don't like a heavy breakfast. There is also a resturant on-site, though I did not get a chance to eat there, only had drinks.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, ready with maps of the city at a moment's notice.

There are at least two scandics from Copenhagen - this one is by the Planetarium. I've included a photo with the view from my room. I believe you can see Tivoli from the rooms facing the opposite way.

This hotel gives me mixed feelings, it tries to give you the feeling of a stylish middle/upper class hotel but it keeps disappointing you all the time. The biggest disappointment was getting into a room that wasn't cleaned properly. I've stayed in many different motels/hotels, from a cheap ass motel somewhere in the middle of nowhere to expansive suites but I think I've never stayed in a place that was cleaned as bad as this one. Beside the room that wasn't clean I found it disturbing that there was only one towel in the bathroom, I had to call for a second one. After I got here I wanted to take a shower but I also wanted to have a fresh towel for the next morning and I guess most people prefer a fresh towel in the morning.
The breakfast was good, you could choose from many different kind of food .. you want healthy? or you prefer fat? they got something for you.
I would definitely not pay 250 USD per night for this hotel, I'm sure there are better places in Copenhagen.
