Kei Kecil, Indonesia
Savana Cottage Kei Kecil Reviews
Aug 06, 2010
Written very well by Lonely Planet about the place. It is located at Ohoidertanwu, but if you arrived at the airport of Tual and said the name Savana, the taxi driver will know.
Run by eccentric Gaston - the owner and with the help of his brothers, he is pretty much doing everything. He cooked an excellent dinner from starter to main meal!
The room cost like $9/night, not including breakfast. The type of room is the same and only 4 are available. The one we stayed is double bed with mosquito net. Booking in advance by SMS is a must. There are bench outside the rooms to chill and relax. There is also hammock and hut to relax.
Not many option of food at the village, unless you are going to Tual/Langur, the capital of Kei Kecil there will be some restaurant.
Breakfast cost around $3/person with bunch of bread, cheese, eggs and jams. Sometimes enough to keep your stomach full up to early dinner.
Dinner cost $5/person for excellent dinner with fresh salad, soup and 2-3 main dish. I can not say it is Indonesian food only, but it is mixed. Doesn't matter at the end cause everything is fresh and very tasty.
