Sault Ste. Marie is a smaller city right in middle of Province of Ontario.Sault Ste. Marie (pronounced /ˈsuː seɪnt məˈriː/ "Soo Saint Marie") (nicknamed "the Sault" or "the Soo") is a city on the St. Marys River in Ontario, Canada. It is the third largest city in Northern Ontario, after Sudbury and Thunder Bay, with a population of 74,948.[1] Residents of the city are called Saultites. With a mission established by French Jesuits in 1668, claiming of the area by Simon-François Daumont de Saint-Lusson, in the name of Louis XIV of France, and fur trading posts soon after, this was one of the oldest European settlements in Canada.[.
Its main employer is a steel mill and its a good little town.
The main areas are the outdoors here , as the wilderness is literally at your doorstep. It is worth coming to check out as it a simple place and easy to get around.
The locals are very layed back and very friendly. There is good things for whole family and people of all ages to see and do in Sault Ste. Marie.
