Sasebo Travel Blogs

This was my first trip to Sasebo, I went for work, but I ventured out a bit. There are some good spots to eat out in the ginza, that is right through Nimitz park. There is a pier not to far from base that has a pirate ship. it will take you on a tour all through the 99 islands surrounding Sasebo. I hope to see more the next time I go.

While being deployed around the Pacific, I was able to visit a whole new world for me.

Visited Sasebo for business. Stay at the military barracks. Spent time with my friend and his family. No pictures just keeping track my travel. Sasebo (佐世保市 Sasebo-shi?) is a city located in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

Sasebo is a small town in Southern Japan.  The port area is a real "Navy town" which doesn't have a whole lot to do around here.  You'll have to take the train/bus system to get outside the city and experience what southern Japan is really like.

We left Victoria on June 2nd and went to San Fransisco (my favorite american city) then off to Hawaii (AGAIN!!! Very tired of that place!) then off to Sasebo Japan, Shanghai China, Qingdao China, Chinhae (Puson) Korea, Tokyo Japan and finished off at Dutch Harbour Alaska before getting home on Sept 15th.
