Traditional restored korean street May 03, 2010
This street/park was restored into the traditional style of korean living and cultural heritage.
The effort they made is a very nice one, with a big pond, houses where local people can play traditional, as well as some modern games. There are also some displays of ancient tombs, as well as mosaic walls telling about the history of Korea, with some of the information a bit questionable.
While we were there, the local people were not there, maybe kept away to avoid contact with us. I did notice 3 men on top of a hill looking down at us, it seemed a bit too suspicious to me. Or maybe they were just curious.
The fun thing about this folk street, were the shooting game I tried. Trying to hit a target with an airgun. Of course I failed miserably, but it was my first time shooting with a "gun".
Yet again, a mandatory visit, but a nice one. :)
Part of the list What to see and do in North Korea
