Southern Indian cuisine in NY's curry hill Mar 26, 2008
There is perhaps nowhere in the world where you can get Indian food as delicious as you can get in New York - save India itself.

Saravanaas is particularly interesting because most Indian food that we are used to is northern indian. The saucy, tomato-ey curries. I find Southern Indian food to be very complementary, sort of mix-your-own flavors and very light and palatable.

So I went back again on Good Friday with a few new friends. Experiences like this are few and far between, but as I was with 3 other people who had no idea what to order, I literally picked 4 items at random and they were all so tasty and delicious that we polished off ALL 4 plates. I can't recommend this place enough!
Our unbelievably delicious spread
Interior of restaurant
Almond dessert and coffee
The perfect Good Friday meal!
