sarastro restaurant Mar 06, 2011
This is the cutest restaurant I've ever seen! If you love the going to the theatre you'll love it here. The tables are all unique decorated either as a small stage or private booths you'd get at the theatre.

The food is a variety including lovely pasta dishes. I'd reccomend the savory mushroom and cheese crepe.

Entertainment varies, we had the pleasure of two opera singers and a lovely string band.

Staff are lovely and friendly, and ladies...you are in for a treat in the bathroom!

Theatrical and fun - a delight for the senses May 29, 2010
In London´s theatre district Sarastro is the show after the show. It is situated on the corner of Drury Lane and Kemble Street, near Covent Garden.

The entrance betrays you from the surprise that awaits you inside. The restaurant is created by an artist and international designer and looks like a theatre stage. The colours of the decor is dominated by gold, red and purple and togheter with perfect lighting it gives the restaurant an amazing atmosphere.

Sarastro is ideal for pre- and post-theatre dining. They serve Turkish styled Mediterranean dishes at reasonable prices.

Starters from £4

Mains from £9

Desserts from £4,50

You can choose to dine at one of the small tables or in one of the ten opera boxes for more privacy.

Every Sunday afternoon and Sunday and Monday evenings there are live performances from up and coming opera stars.

A visit to Sarastro is not easily forgotten.

As in The Magic Flute?

Sounds like a good theatre district choice!
