Amazing archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic, closer to Senegal than to Central America.

Mixture of everything (colonial Portugal, South America, Africa, the Caribbean), placed in what was once a 'green (verde) paradise'.
*
Of the ten islands, only one is still superbly green, the others resembling a lunar landscape.
*
Dark volcanic rocks, scarlet sands, golden beaches, dry winds, bearable heat, few tourists - a lovely place to see!

So I have been in São Vicente for the past 3 days and it has been a blast. This is definitly more of a fun place to be than Sal. It has a lot of life and is very interesting place to be. People are friendly and fun to be with. The only hickup here is the poverty you see in the street, a lot …
