The
challenge! We booked a ticket with the
Ferrycat 4 to visit Santorini. Most people suggested that we should take the
full tour, which means a bus is picking you up at your hotel, and the transfer
in Santorini is also arranged because there are not much taxi’s available. But
of cours…

Because of Jessica I knew that you could go to Santorini. Of course we wanted to do this as well. As I told before it was the last catamaran boat of this season, so we were lucky! At 7.15 am we took the taxi to the bus station but apparently the bus of 7.30 already left so we had to wait a bit long…

Santorini is what was left from a massive volcano exlosion 3700 years ago (about 1700 bc). It was a big round island (that was the first name of it: Strogili, means round) and now is almost a half-moon shape island made of lava. The capital of the island is Fira...
Geografical is something unique,…

We made it! The first thing I saw when looking out of our cabin window, were the white houses covering the top of what is know as Thira, the largest island of the volcanic island group that is Santorini. The main reason why I let my dad and girlfriend talk me into coming along on this cruise, and n…

Naxos, Greece -› Agios Ioannis, Greece -› …
Cycladen are Greece islands splendid of which I have visited Naxos and Santorini. Between the islands you can take the ferry boat. The villages are beautiful because of the white houses with blue doors and shutters. And also the white churches with mostly blue roofs are photogenic. The places on the Caldera, crater formed by volcanic activity, are particular by their position against the slope.

Our next adventure in Santorini was to take a volcano tour. We took a boat over to the volcano just off the coast and had a guided tour. The volcano is actually at risk because so many tourists take the rocks. It was pretty cool to see...although the heat was incredible. Next stop...a swim in t…

Santorini was another one of these places that apparently never rained, but that wasn't the case today. The town of Oia was like what you see in typical Greek pictures: white and blue houses. The water just makes it that much more radiant. You'll see once I upload my pictures (I lost my cord, so it…

This was our last day in Santorini, so we decided to head to one of its beaches!!! We decided to go to Kamari Beach, which is a black sand beach made of lava rock. We dropped off our laundry at the hotel's front desk (the best €8 we spent!) and took a bus over to Kamari Beach. T…

One of the most amazing places I will ever go...the island was a great place to relax after spending 8 weeks running around London. It had the most amazing sunsets, the greatest beach side cabanas, and wonderful hospitality!

Generally I put down the location as where we slept that night but I have kept this one as Santorini because we didn’t really sleep in a specific location haha. We were catching a night ferry over to Athens tonight. So we had the whole day pretty much to kill and I think we were getting a ride do…
