We hit Bellavista area's buzzing nightlife, lining our stomachs with fab steaks, almost free at 4 pounds, but …

We had been looking at the possibility of travelling south to perhaps Chillan but find that the return trip would put us on the other side of the city from the hostal after the metro stopped running and besides I am unable to find accommodation via the net.  Andrew has had a slight upset …

Together with the participants of the "Chemistry" Study Tour, I travelled from Santiago to Pucon and Conception. We arrived in Pucon on a weekend, so we had a lot of free time for outdoor activities. Then we headed back towards the north (Conception and Santiago) and we continued with the official program; visiting companies and universities. Fortunately we had enough free time in between for sightseeing

We started our 3 weeks trip with a 27 hour bus trip from Santiago to Arica. From there, we took a private tour to the National Park Lauca & N.P de la Vicuna's, down to Iquique. After visiting the port of Antofagasta, we headed for San Pedro de Atacama and visited the famous Valle de la Luna and Tatio Geysers. In our last week we headed back via La Serena to Santiago.
