Our accomodations in Santee was th Best Western Santee Inn.  The decor was not an homage to the interior design gods, but what you do get for under $72/night, in addition to the beds, bathroom and TV,  are free high-speed internet, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a complimentary continental breakfast.  The real selling pont for the Best Western Santee Inn was its swimming pool.  We took the opportunity to swim under the stars.   I was totally amazed at how the stars ...
