    Spent two weeks in Peru. Went from the Jungle to Cusco to White water rafting to Mountain Biking to hiking over a mountain to get to Machu Picchu to Home Stays on Lake Titicaca.

    We set of before dawn after warming up with some coca tea and breakfast. Began our 3 hour morning assault on the summit of the Salkantay pass (15,252 ft.), it was to be a 1,100 meter assent from our base camp at 11,808 feet, where already most were suffering from a little altitude sickness -- headaches, shortness of breath, stomach problems and vertigo. Once again we began straight up into the Andes. Soon lush green carpets of moss and brush began to make way for black rock and torrents...

    I take my magic tricks (mostly cards) along with me to break the ice with other travellers.  This time, I befriended locals with my tricks, and thus far, I have received and incredible reception.Yesterday, I was eating lunch.  A teenage girl was sitting across from me.  I asked her in Spanish if she wanted to see a magic trick.  Within 30 seconds, everyone in the canteen was hovering around my table.  I put on a short performance, putting everyone in awe, and left the...
