The Elevator Santa Justa (Elevadore Santa Justa) is the best in Lisbon. It's more than 100 years old and designed by a student of Eiffel. You can get in, with a public transportation card or buy a ticket. The building and the view are great!

Take elevator Santa Justa. It's an old building designed by a student of Eiffel and you have an amazing view. It's also free with your card.
Walk through the small, romantic streets of Alfama and see all the beautifull buildings, stores and restaurants.

From there I walked up Rua Augusta to the Elevador Santa Justa for some views of the city. I spent the rest of the day walking around this whole area, including Rossio Square. I also took a bus over to the area near Oriente Station.

Santa Justa , an elevator (lift) in Gothic revival style, built around 1900 to connect the Baixa and Bairro Alto, the richly-decorated Church of São Roque , Jerónimos Monastery , Belém Tower , Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument of the Discoveries) and Carmo Convent .

Walk a few hundred meters and on your left you will find one of the two famous old elevators of the city (Santa Justa's Elevador ), designed by a student of Mr. Eiffel. From there you have to walk along a big avenue until you arrive to the Santa Justa lift, one of the oldest lifts in the city! nice trip! After this we could eat a delicious cod cooked at the portuguese way near the Rossio square...ummm so tasty!.
