In Santa Fe, an island southeast of Santa Cruz, I snorkeled with turtles, eels, sea lions (they´re everywhere), rays, long trumpetfish, and a big scorpion fish. We followed the water tour with a hike through a Giant Cacti Forest with pale land iguanas (only two or so), mockingbirds (cucube in Spanish), lots of Palo Santo trees with strong menthol smelling leaves, and saw a Galapagos hawk with tons of sea lions resting on the beach and under the bushes.
