Clean, friendly, cheap hostel May 15, 2010
The Sant Jordi hostel was great. Staff were very laid back, friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and kitchen facilities were clean and easy to use. Common areas were also very clean and accessible. Internet was slow but free. The staff organized outings to clubs and bars most nights with the other Sant Jordi hostels in town. This was a great way to meet people from all over the world. Would recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Barcelona. City access was very easy, minutes walk to all the attractions.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was everything you would want from a hostel. It was right in the center of Barcelona, 5 min walk away from Place del Catalunya and the beginning of La Rambla Street. It is next to Passeig de Gracia, chich has the famous Gaudi buldings Casa Batllo & Casa Mila.
It was more like staying at a friends apartment than an organized establishment like a hotel. The manager, Fefe, took everyone out for drinks and dinner at night. He also suggested very nice restaurants and clubs. You do sleep on bunk beds, but there are seperate areas for men and women for showering, there are plenty of computers, and a lounge area. Overall, if you are in Barcelona, in need of cheap loggings (I payed $105 for 3 nights) and friendly english speaking staff, stay here.
