'Sankt Anton am Arlberg' is the German name for what is known in English as 'St Anton'. This is a very popular and beautiful ski resort town located in the western region of Austria in the 'state' of Tyrol. St Anton is an old and very well established ski town which would rate as one of the more popular and famous in the country. It is surrounded by four major mountain peaks which are all easily accessible. Unfortunately, being so popular, the town features a large number of tourists, mostly from Sweden and England. Most of the staff on the mountain are not locals, so if you are going for an Austrian experience this town isnt for you. The town is beautifully architectured, well appointed and very compact. It is one of the more expensive resorts in Austria.
