The god of prosperity Jan 01, 2014
Sanko inari shrine is next to Haritsuna shrine. Many red torii are one of the features of an Inari shrine. The god of the harvest and fertility are worshiped at an Inari shrine. In other words, an Inari shrine is the god of business. Inari's foxes are pure white and act as his messengers. There are a small pond in this shrine. Legend has it that your paper money or coins will be doubled after you washed them in this pond. The pronunciation of "frog" and "return" are same in Japanese. So I guess ornaments of a frog are put there.
