Sanjay Gandhi National Park Mumbai Reviews
National Park within city limits Sep 11, 2012
One of the biggest national parks within city limits, Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a nice place to spend your morning, jogging, cycling or just sitting and enjoying the fresh air.
So close to the hustle-bustle, noise and pollution of the city, the national park gives you a refreshing feel and a calm atmosphere.
The park opens for visitors at 7:30 in the morning and you have to pay an entrance fee of Rs. 30 per person. For people interested in cycling, bicycles are provided on rent for Rs 20 per hour (for min 2 hours), with Rs 200 Deposit and a valid photo-id.
You can go all the way upto Kanheri caves (around 6.5 kms from the main gate). A total of 109 caves, the place is really very peaceful and gets really beautiful during and after monsoons.
