Sandal Wood Reviews
Fantastic and personal hostel in Kyoto Jul 18, 2009
We had a great stay at Sandalwood. This is one of those hostel where it feels like you're a guest in someone's home, where you get to know your hostel-mates and the staff very well, where you sit around getting drunk on sake and trying on kimono with the owner. I couldn't ask for a better stay. The hostel is very small and holds probably around 10 people or less, so book FAR ahead. Jimi and Zin are great hosts, always ready to make some phone calls and book sumo tickets for you and send you to incredibly delicious sushi restaurants!!! I highly recommend!
