The Sanctuary of Truth or Prasat Satchatham Jul 16, 2013
The Sanctuary of Truth located in the Naklua area, Soi 12. I rent a car and driver from the hotel for a day tour including this place. There is an entrance fee at the gate but I do not remember the cost. It was easy to navigate and I do not need a guide to explore this place.

This place was built with wooden architecture and every part of the building embellished with solely wood carving, without any cement or metal, even locks that tie wood-curving objects together also made from wood.

The building consists of wood sculptures of deities, angels, Brahman, King of Nagas, etc. These would reflect to the ancient vision - the relationship of human and universe, knowledge, and philosophy.

There is free dolphin show twice a day at the lagoon at 11.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m and a culture show at the restaurant at 4.00pm

At that time, the building is in the renovation process and visitor cannot access from the main door, instead has to walk from the back yard garden. In addition to this, visitors need to wear a safety helmet provided, and no smoking inside the building.

Fun Day Apr 25, 2011
$45 for a fun day (there are cheaper packages) We had a Elephant ride, horse ride, entrance to the temple, boat ride, 4 wheeler ride, shot a gun. It was a fun day. There are other packages that include a mixture of the above events. You do have to cover up to go into the temple but when I went in many people didn't cover up. There was construction going on when I went (summer 2010).

Gorgeous gothic wooden castle May 26, 2008
I didn't Pattaya the nicest place but this was definitly the highlight of my time spend there.

It is a huge castle/temple carved entirely from wood- no glue even, it all just fits together! Which is amazing in itself, but the designs on it are awe inspiring.

While you are there you also get a horse drawn carriage ride and see a pink dolphin show.

A particular highlight is the tour lady who showed us around- making us into poses around the temple for photos which were absolutely hilarious and made great pics.

If you are in Pattay, definitly make the trip there!
