San Tomaso Hotel Milan

I stayed in Hotel San Tomaso in July 05, it’s a one star hotel with 20 rooms, and i had a pleasant time there. I found out about it in the Lonely Planet guide for Milan as it is a recommended budget hotel. Its in central Milan although you can’t walk to sights like The Duomo  - you can catch the red line on the Metro south for most of the famous sights. The hostel is run by two oriental ladies who were very helpful and kind. theres not very many nice places to eat around the hotel but again you can get everywhere by metro so you don't really have to stay around. However although in the centre of the city, it was out of the way a bit and every night when we got back to our room there were large groups of Vietnamese men everywhere, who were a little scary, but the area was generally safe and very beautiful.
