San Pedro Vacation Guide
Best known as Los Angeles' harbor port.
The Shipping Industry has been the number one industry since the town began and Fishing has been the second major industry here for many years.
Laying on a penninsula with the harbor tucked into the calm side, the town gets a wonderful afternoon breeze. The town itself is built on a small hill, much the way San Francisco is, only smaller.
Because it is so close to the ocean and with the afternoon breezes the temperatures are much cooler and even than areas even ten miles inland.
The population is very diverse, but began with old world citizens coming in to work the ships as they arrived and departed. They were followed by experienced fisherman, mainly from Italy and Croatia. As years passed the Scandinavian countries added to the mixture. Now the city is nearing the 100,000 mark in population.

WOO HOO LOOKING FORWARD TO GET OUT THE USA FOR A WEEK!!!!! HAHAHA I am not a big fan of Mexico cruises or any cruises that are not islands. Although my NORWAY and ANTARCTICA trips are an exception, since i live in the WEST COAST, I should take advantage of the prices. It’s $500 for 7 day cr…

Around 7 AM, I was all packed and ready to hit the sands of Mexico. The thing is, we would be hitting about 3 stops on the way, and the rest would be sea days. From what I heard, the sea days are the worst coming back because the ship floors have to put up a fight with the waves. The first two days…
