San Pedro el Apóstolo Pisac Reviews
The hallmark of the world famous Pisac market Nov 24, 2013
At the very heart of the famed Pisac Market is this little gem - a church that has is the epicentre of it all. Come Sunday, and you're treated to dignitaries from the local villages who usually lead processions after Mass (said in Quechua), dressed in their versions of Sunday finery. It really is very colourful and attended by locals and tourists. As expected, like in any church in any South American (former Spanish) colony, the splendour and opulence are worth seeing.
I wouldn't recommend spending an entire day here (obviously!), but you can well serve yourself about 15 minutes here to take in the silence. Or, better still, treat yourself to the acclaimed Sunday Mass. It doesn't disappoint!
